The IARC, 501(c)3 of Illinois Agri-Women Board met on Wednesday, August 27, 2025. Haley Underwood shared the WCFA 2025 report and Shelby Leick reported that she and Nathalie Schmidt completed the Thank You’s to all the sponsors.
Penny Lauritzen shared the GoAg3 report. Krista Robertson shared Lynn Curry’s recommendation to include the college recipient of WCFA Agent of Change scholarship on the IAW Board. Krista will present at the September IAW Board Meeting.
The Board members discussed tips regarding membership retention and growth to assist Shelley Wintjen gather information for the current Road to Influence project. The intent is to provide information to make it easier for new affiliates and new AAW members.
Nathalie Schmidt reviewed the FFA Job Interview Sponsorship. 2026 is the final year of a 3-year commitment. $1000 will be drawn from the Prior AAW Convention Fund (approximately $180 is needed from IAW to increase current balance) and $1000 from WCFA funds. Additional discussion will be held by IAW Board and WCFA Committee before a new commitment is made to FFA.
One new IARC Board member is needed for 2026. The new member will be nominated and approved at the November meeting and begin Board responsibilities in January 2026.
