The Illinois Agricultural Resource Council, Inc. (IARC) is the 501(c)3 associated with Illinois Agri-Women. The mission of this non-profit organization is to promote the development of educational materials, programs, and networking opportunities relevant to women in agriculture, to provide programming to promote a better understanding of agriculture and the family farm system by consumers, and to promote the expansion of research in the food and agricultural sector.

Illinois Agri-Women

Illinois Agri-Women is shining the light and cultivating women in agriculture in the State of Illinois through projects, such as the Women Changing the Face of Agriculture Conference and the NEW Roots Festival. In addition, tours, professional development, networking, consumer education, and scholarship and awards programs occur across the State each year.

Women Changing the Face of Agriculture

The Women Changing the Face of Agriculture is a career discovery conference, as well as, an investment in the future of agriculture. This outreach project gives all women the opportunity to explore different career paths offered in the agriculture, food, and natural resources sector. Our goal is to help attendees receive accurate information firsthand from professional women in the industry.

Generations of Women in Agriculture Across America (GoAg3)

The 2026 Generations of Women in Agriculture Across America Award, we aim to spotlight families with three or more living generations of women who have made a meaningful impact in the agriculture industry — whether through production farming, agri-business, education, or leadership in their communities. This national award will recognize and reward families whose stories represent resilience, innovation, and a lasting legacy in agriculture.
